Kenya protests: Church and mosque burnt down in Nairobi

Houses of worship burnt down in Nairobi amid anti-government protests.

A church and mosque in Nairobi were destroyed by unknown assailants on Monday night after protestors engaged police in running battles. A day of violence was triggered by protests called by opposition leader, Raila Odinga, over the cost of living crises, as well as the election victory of President William Ruto.

A peace deal has been signed between sedentary farmers and cattle herders in North West Cameroon following tensions.

And we hear from the Benin-born Polar Music prize winner, Ang茅lique Kidjo on her victory.
