Narobi governor speaks out on protests
Johnson Sakaja says he will make funds available to repair damage.
Thursday is the third day of protests called by Raila Odinga in Kenya. He ran against William Ruto in last year's presidential election, but has not accepted the electoral commission's decision that his opponent won. He also says Kenyans should protest against the high cost of living. We hear from the governor of Nairobi, Johnson Sakaja, who is from the president's United Democratic Alliance party.
A state of emergency has been declared in parts of Burkina Faso that have been affected by jihadist violence.
And Senegalese opposition leader, Ousmane Sonko, has been found guilty of defamation and handed a two-month suspended sentence.
