The Sudanese army has accused a rival paramilitary unit of fomenting tensions.
The Sudanese army has accused the Rapid Support Forces, a rival paramilitary unit, of actively mobilising and arming its supporters to foment tensions. There are fears of confrontation as Sudan continues to grapple with a political crisis after leaders failed to reach a deadline to form a civilian-led government.
A notorious murderer and rapist, Thabo Bester has been extradited from Tanzania, after fleeing South Africa where he faked his own death in prison.
