Sudan tensions rise
Tensions rise between Sudanese army and paramilitary force.
The Sudanese army has accused the Rapid Support Forces, a rival paramilitary unit, of actively mobilising and arming its supporters to sow tensions. There are fears of confrontation as Sudan continues to grapple with a political crisis after leaders failed to reach a deadline to form a civilian-led government.
Ghana becomes the first country to give approval for a vaccine developed by Oxford University for use against malaria.
