Street battles dash hopes of Sudan Eid ceasefire
More shelling and gunfights in Khartoum as efforts to impose a ceasefire before the end of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr, fail.
Sporadic fighting has continued in the Sudanese capital, Khartoum, despite the paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) saying they were prepared to respect a three-day ceasefire with the army to coincide with the Muslim holiday of Eid.
We hear from the assistant Chief of Staff under former Sudanese prime minister, Abdalla Hamdok, on what the current unrest means for democracy in Sudan.
Agency (UNHCR) estimates that as many as 20,000 people have fled the conflict in Sudan's Darfur region to seek refuge in neighbouring Chad.
And we drop in on the Resident Presidents, who turn their attention to religion.
