Sudan reaches agreement to protect civilians

Talks took place in Jeddah in Saudi Arabia.

Sudan鈥檚 warring parties have signed an accord to protect civilians and allow humanitarian aid into the country after almost one month of fighting.

UN human rights investigators say Malian troops and foreign military personnel killed more than 500 people in the village of Moura in central Mali last year.

The UK has signed an agreement with Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia aimed at tackling the causes of instability in the region.
