Sudan’s warring factions have signed an agreement to protect civilians and allow humanitarian aid into the country. We hear from an analyst who tell us that while the two sides sitting together is significant, it doesn’t stop the fighting.
UN human rights investigators say Malian troops and foreign military personnel killed more than 500 people in the village of Moura in central Mali last year.
The UK has signed an agreement with Kenya, Ethiopia and Somalia aimed at tackling the causes of instability in the region.
