IMF approves Ghana loan
The IMF has approved a three-year loan programme for Ghana.
The International Monetary Fund's executive board has approved a $3bn three-year loan programme for the Government of Ghana. The West African nation has been battling its worst economic crisis in a generation.
In Burundi,11 women have left the airport in the capital, Bujumbura, destined for Saudi Arabia. It's part of a government-backed initiative aimed at curbing illegal workers' migration.
In Nigeria, doctors in public hospitals have begun a 5-day strike. They are demanding better working conditions, and this has left many without healthcare. The strike began after the government鈥檚 refusal to increase salaries and pay arrears to those in the medical profession.
