Senegal politician sentenced for 'corrupting youth'
A court in Senegal has handed down a two-year prison sentence to Ousmane Sonko.
A court in Senegal has handed down a two-year prison sentence to the opposition leader, Ousmane Sonko. He was convicted of 'corrupting youth,' but cleared of rape charges. His supporters say the trial is aimed at stopping Mr. Sonko from standing in presidential elections in 2024.
And 'School Girls; Or, The African Mean Girls Play,' is a new play written by Ghanaian-American, Jocelyn Bioh set in Ghana, in 1986 at the prestigious Aburi Girls' Boarding School. The story is set around a student, Paula and her friends who are anticipating the arrival of the recruiter for the Miss Ghana pageant.
