2.00pm British Symphony Series: Michael Tippett (1905-1998)
This week's programmes feature the complete cycle of Tippet's four symphonies, performed by the Âé¶¹Éç Symphony Orchestra and including historic recordings conducted by the composer himself. This series is complemented with all five piano concertos by Beethoven, a composer with whose music Tippett had a deep and lifelong relationship.
