A 'composed documentary' by sound artist John Wynne which features recordings of several click languages from the Kalahari Desert in Botswana. The sounds of these amazing languages provide material for subtle electro-acoustic manipulations as the piece moves seamlessly between documentary and abstraction, language and music. Hearing Voices weaves together interviews, field recordings and music in a compelling and adventurous exploration of languages on the verge of extinction.
