On Easter Monday Radio 3 devoted a whole day to a broadcast of Wagner's Ring cycle.ÌýThe cycle, Der Ring des Nibelungen, comprises four operas: Das Rheingold (The Rhinegold), Die Walküre (The Valkyrie), SiegfriedÌýand ³Òö³Ù³Ù±ð°ù»åä³¾³¾±ð°ù³Ü²Ô²µ (Twilight of the Gods). A stellar cast included Anne Evans as Brünnhilde, Siegfried Jerusalem as Siegfried and John Tomlinson as Wotan. At the helm in this acclaimed Bayreuth recordingÌýwas conductor Daniel Barenboim, who this year has been delivering the Reith Lectures.
