Michael Nyman's Revisiting the Don

Saturday 25 March 2006 23:00-2:00 (Radio 3)

Robert Worby introduces a studio session by the Michael Nyman Band, playing Nyman's new Â鶹Éç commission for Mozart year, Revisiting the Don. They are joined by mezzo-soprano Hilary Summers for Nyman's Six Celan Songs.

Plus, the London Sinfonietta, conducted by Jurjen Hempel and joined by Synergy Voices and Sound Intermedia, gives its first public performance of Writing on Water, a new collaboration between David Lang and librettist Peter Greenaway, commissioned to mark the bicentenary of Nelson's victory at Trafalgar.
