Bill Drummond
What would you say to someone who suggested that all recorded music had run its course? Maybe you'd assume it was just a joke and laugh.maybe you'd simply think they were being perverse or maybe you'd just shrug at an adolescent impulse to shock. Rana Mitter isÌýexamining this assertion with the man who made it - Bill Drummond. He's perhaps best known for his stint in the avant garde pop group, The KLF and for setting light to a million pounds on Jura in 1994 but his current project -- Seventeen - is just as iconoclastic--its nothing less than an attempt to re-invent music-making by returning it to year zero.

17 by Bill Drummond is published by Beautiful Books and The17 is on in Derby from 22 August.
