Mervyn and the Brethren

Mervyn Morgan had an unusual childhood in that he and his 9 siblings were brought up in the cult of the Brethren. His life in a large Exclusive Brethren family meant that they were well provided for but that anything joyful was聽a sin. Mervyn's eyes were opened to life outside the cult when he attended grammer school,聽which led to聽him聽leaving the Brethren to make his own way in life.
Mervyn doesn't complain about his upbringing but聽finds the fact that his family is estranged from him in adulthood much more difficult to deal with.
