IQ-Bot

2. Motor Direction
It is important that both motors turn in the same direction when they are switched on so that the robot will move forward. You need to ensure that each pair of wires is connected to the right set of screw terminals on the IQ controller board. The wires are exactly identical but are different colours to help make the building assignment a bit easier to follow.

Try experimenting with different ways of wiring your motors to the IQ controller board. When you are ready to activate the motors, select PROGRAM [2] and [3] on the IQ controller board to see what happens. Notice how the direction of the wheels is affected by the order in which the motors are wired to the IQ controller board. Left and right directional arrows pointing downward indicate both motors are turning in the same direction.
