Munro's lesson for January
- Greeting people :: page 2

"Ciamar a tha thu" is a great phrase to use when talking to friends, but what would you say if you wanted to be a bit more formal?

When you are talking to someone older, someone you don't know, or more than one person - use the polite or plural form of 'you' which is 'sibh':

Ciamar a tha sibh?

"Sibh" is the plural form of "you"

Listen to the sounds:

Sibh
Tha sibh
Ciamar a tha sibh?
