In this year鈥檚 Reith Lectures, writer Robert Macfarlane argues that a belief in human superiority has brought us to the brink of planetary catastrophe.

In his second lecture, Air: The Great Thinning, he uses birds to examine some of the consequences of human exceptionalism, and shows how recent scientific breakthroughs are disclosing the superpowers of other life-forms, thereby challenging the paradigm of our uniqueness.

The lecture will be chaired by presenter, journalist and author, Anita Anand.

You can apply for a maximum of two tickets.
