Who would you prefer as our Prime Minister? A potential leadership rival to Keir Starmer, Health Secretary Wes Streeting, held a short meeting with the Prime Minister at Downing Street this morning. In what has been a tumultuous few days for the UK Government, a number of possible contenders have emerged. These include Streeting, Andy Burnham, Angela Rayner and even former leader Ed Miliband. Over 80 Labour MPs have called on the Prime Minister to go, with around 100 signing a letter backing Keir Starmer. Replacing historic Welsh place names with English ones on maps is “undermining our language and national identity.” That’s according to Gwynedd councillor Einir Williams, who has criticised Ordnance Survey for using names she claims have "no basis in tradition."
