The world's first malaria vaccine has cleared one of the final hurdles prior to being approved for use in Africa. The European Medicines Agency gave the jab a positive scientific assessment after looking at its safety and effectiveness. This is despite the vaccine being just 46% effective in toddlers and not working on very young babies. The Âé¶¹Éç's Medical Correspondent Fergus Walsh explains.
