Burundi government reacts to ongoing violence

Protests in Burundi erupted after President Pierre Nkurunziza announced in April that he would be seeking a third term in office. Opposition parties said that violated the constitution but following a failed coup d'etat, Mr Nkurunziza won the controversial elections. Almost every day there are tit-for-tat killings and attempted assassinations. The Âé¶¹Éç's Nkem Ifejika is in the capital Bujumbura where he met Willy Nyamitwe, spokesperson for the President.
