Ethiopian artist Robel Temesgen’s latest works are inspired by Adbar, a traditional belief on how protective spirits are linked to nature. In his new paintings and works on paper, he explores how Adbar influences social interactions at the places where those connections occur, such as rivers, lakes and mountains.
