The spiritual paintings of Ethiopia's Robel Temesgen
Ethiopian artist Robel Temesgen鈥檚 latest works are inspired by Adbar, a traditional belief on how protective spirits are linked to nature. In his new paintings and works on paper, he explores how Adbar influences social interactions at the places where those connections occur, such as rivers, lakes and mountains. Focus on Africa's Victoria Uwonkunda spoke to the artist at London鈥檚 Tiwani Contemporary gallery which is showing his first UK exhibition until 6 February 2016.
