Caster Semenya's comeback

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

Caster Semenya has won three gold medals at the Confederation of African Athletics Championships in Durban - in the 800m, 1500m and 4x400m relay races. She was instructed to take a gender test by the IAAF in 2009, and has been subject to ongoing scrutiny since then. The IAAF is currently assessing a ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport that testing on female athletes taking testosterone suppressants should be suspended. Caster Semenya spoke to the Â鶹Éç’s Farayi Mungazi after her victory in Durban.
