Farmer Tom Benton from South Essex has told 5 live Drive how he is constantly battling the problem of illegal tipping. “It seems to be a weekly problem,” he said. In one instance, 120 tonnes of rubbish was dumped on Tom’s land. “The gate was shut but they just flattened it and drove onto the field.” There has been an increase in reported illegal dumping cases in recent years.
