The detective leading the investigation into the disappearance of 21-month-old Ben Needham, who went missing on the Greek Island of Kos in 1991, has said “it’s not case closed”. Earlier this week, police said they believe Ben died in an accident after a toy car thought to belong to him was found near where he went missing. Ben’s sister Leigh Anna has said that “without definite proof, there is still hope” that he is alive. Detective Inspector Jon Cousins of South Yorkshire police told 5 live that police are “still looking at everything that comes forward from now on” and “it’s not a closed case”.
