More than 24 thousand bees worth around £2000 have been stolen from hives on a private estate in Yorkshire. Amanda Clayton, the owner and beekeeper of the hives on the Hooton Pagnell Farm Estate told 5 live: “[We are] just devastated that we had done all that hard work and spent quite a bit of money and someone has taken them away.” “It would have to be some who knows what they are doing and they would need beekeeping equipment.” This clip is originally from 5 live Breakfast on Friday 5 May 2017.
