'The LRA is no longer relevant'

Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

Five years after the viral Kony 2012 campaign calling for the capture of the Ugandan warlord Joseph Kony - the military operation against his Lord's Resistance Army, led by American and Ugandan forces - has come to an end - without his capture. They say the group is no longer a threat. The Â鶹Éç's Catherine Byaruhanga was in Obo in the Central African Republic and spoke with Lieutenant Corporal Armando Hernandez, the spokersperson of the US Army Africa. She asked him if they felt the fight against LRA was over? (Photo: Uganda's warlord Joseph Kony. Credit: Stuart Price/AFP/Getty Images)
