Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

The head of UN peacekeeping, Jean-Pierre Lacroix, says the organisation has already started implementing recommendations of a high-level report that showed the UN's flag no longer offer "natural protection" to its peacekeeping force. In an interview with the Â鶹Éç's Emmanuel Igunza, he acknowledged that they needed to improve the way they operate in order to deal with the violence that is occurring as a result of the continued uncertainty.
