Here's our last reading from this year's Caine Prize for African Writing shortlist. Today’s reading is an excerpt from "Grace Jones" by writer Irenosen Okojie. It concerns a woman who works as a professional impersonator of the famous Jamaican singer, model and actress Grace Jones. Living with grief and trauma from a previous traumatic event, her life takes on a surreal and dream-like quality. The extract is read by Vera Kwakofi. *This year, Audrey Brown who is one of Focus’ presenters was a judge of the competition, she did it in a private capacity.
