Caine Prize 2020: British Nigerian author Irenosen Okojie

Here's our last reading from this year's Caine Prize for African Writing shortlist. Today’s reading is an excerpt from "Grace Jones" by writer Irenosen Okojie. It concerns a woman who works as a professional impersonator of the famous Jamaican singer, model and actress Grace Jones. Living with grief and trauma from a previous traumatic event, her life takes on a surreal and dream-like quality. The extract is read by Vera Kwakofi.

*This year, Audrey Brown who is one of Focus’ presenters was a judge of the competition, she did it in a private capacity.
