Focus on Africa

Available for over a year

RX Radio, an innovative station in Cape Town’s Red Cross Children’s Hospital beat 138 other entries from around the world to jointly win a global award for its Covid-19 programming. RX Radio’s entry entitled, Children’s Voices on Covid-19, was one of two winners of the international Reboot Health and Wellness Innovation Challenge organised by the World Health Organisation, UNICEF, the World Food Programme and UNAIDS.  The initiative was launched in March to inspire young people from around the world to develop solutions to one of the most urgent health challenges, that of keeping young people safe.  Focus on Africa's Mohammed Allie has been speaking to some of the people involved in RX Radio's winning entry.
