Focus on Africa’s Bola Mosuro speaks to Mestefe Omer, a member of the executive council of Ethiopian prime minister Abiy Ahmed’s Prosperity Party, regarding ongoing fighting in Tigray. The African Union has called for a ceasefire between government troops and soldiers from the Tigray People's Liberation Front, which governs the region.
