Fighting is still raging in Ethiopia's Tigray province as a threat hangs over the regional capital, Mekelle. The military in Addis Ababa has said they will use artillery fire and show no mercy. There are usually half a million residents, but tens of thousands have already fled, many to Sudan. Fears abound for the fate of hundreds of thousands of civilians who remain.
