Uganda has been asked to take in two thousand refugees fleeing the crisis in Afghanistan. The move follows last weekend’s lightning Taliban takeover as the federal government collapsed. Tens of thousands of people are desperate to leave, fearing a future under Taliban rule. Uganda is the first African country willing to take refugees fleeing Afghanistan.
