'We have always believed in providing sanctuary to whoever needs it'

Uganda has been asked to take in two thousand refugees fleeing the crisis in Afghanistan. The move follows last weekend鈥檚 lightning Taliban takeover as the federal government collapsed. Tens of thousands of people are desperate to leave, fearing a future under Taliban rule. Uganda is the first African country willing to take refugees fleeing Afghanistan. The 麻豆社's Audrey Brown has been speaking to Uganda's minister for foreign affairs, General Jeje Odongo.
