Ticket office closures: “I think it’s absolutely appalling”
Available for over a year
Alfreton, Burton and Long Eaton are just a few of the ticket offices at railway stations that may close as part of cost-cutting measures. The Rail Delivery Group, which represents train companies, say 12% of tickets are now bought at ticket offices. Simon Mahoney is a blind train user, from Ashbourne, who relies on the ticket office operatives. He’s been speaking to 鶹 Radio Derby’s Ian Skye.
