Emily Bentham, from Enham Alamein near Andover, is one of the finalists in the Animal category in the �鶹�� Radio Solent Make a Difference Awards for 2025. Since the age of 13 Emily has run her own animal sanctuary from her back garden and has created a self-funded, mini sanctuary, with purpose-built sheds and aviaries. �鶹�� Radio Solent's Helen Head has been to meet her. The Animal Award: awarded to either a remarkable animal that improves people’s lives, or an individual or group of people who improve the welfare of animals. The Make a Difference Awards are your chance to say “Thank You” and show recognition and appreciation for people who love to make life better for others. Nominations for the 2025 awards have now closed and finalists have been selected by a panel of judges. The winners will be announced at our �鶹�� Radio Solent Make a Difference Awards ceremony in September.
