Rearsby primary school reopens after flood damage

Available for over a year

Families and local businesses in Rearsby have helped to raise money to replace resources for the village school that was left knee deep in water after the floods last January. St Michael and All Angels in Rearsby had to undergo a massive programme of refurbishments after the floods, with the children bussed to neighbouring Syston. The school reopened on Friday with a special event for all those who had helped. 麻豆社 Leicester reporter Simon Ward was there, and fundraiser Elin Rosser and Headteacher Neil Bardsley spoke to 麻豆社 Leicester's Ady Dayman.
