Hip Hop [Hip-Hop]noun, Hiptum Hoptum Latin – Hip Hop is term used to describe someone whose identity stems from listening to Hip Hop beats, producing their own sounds and writing lyrics.

What would I wear?

• Hip Hop fashions have changed with Hip Hop itself, so it depends what style I wanted to adopt.
• Conventional - Baggy Jeans, Sports Wear, Gold or Platinum Bling.
• Modern - Designing your own clothes and making your own fashion labels. Or it can be just a normal pair of jeans and a t-shirt
• Really Modern - Wearing a suit. Nobody does it better than P. Diddy.

What about music?

• Being Hip Hop means you obviously like Hip Hop, but also R’n’B, Soul, Grime, Garage and even Rock.
• For the best of Hip Hop think Tupac, Jay-Z, Notorious B.I.G., Snoop Dogg and Kanye West.
• I like to rap about the truth which can be anything in life… not just girls, guns and gangsters.
• I get my music from my friends and downloading from the net.

What do I do?

• Even though I like to rap, being hip-hop is not just about rapping.
• Being Hip Hop is about being able to make or move to the music. This can be through singing, beat-boxing, mixing, breaking, scratching, MC-ing, rapping or simply producing our own beats.
• I play football and basketball with my friends as well as hanging out round their yard.

What do I think?

• Hip Hop is about freedom of speech. It's about expressing who you are, what you believe in and what you feel. Sometimes it's a response to oppression but other times it's just a way to let loose what's on your mind.
• Some people might mistake our laid back hip hop swagger and style as as cockiness, but really it’s just confidence and being happy with the music we're making. - besides to be a great hip hop artist you have to believe you're the best!
• Hip Hop is not just the music; it’s a way of life.
