Will you be celebrating??

Neil Hastings
Being British means I am highly taxed, subject to the meddling of Big Brother government, likely to be subject to violent crime, have little expendable income, low education, sub-standard health care, bad food, small houses, excessive alcohol use, intolerant of minorities, not respected by other European nationals and unlikely to see any improvement over my lifetime.

Mark, Essex
I am proud to be English also, as is my family. Our influence in Arts & Business together with our unique cultural diversity should be recognised and celebrated. As for the future - it's what we make it!!

Gerald Law
The Scout Assocation of Luton will celibrate on Sunday 26th April with a parade, passing the hall with the Mayor taking the salute and then church parade

Louis Whitfield
I am proud to be English, no one, not even the powers that be will make me change my mind, Happy St Georges day everyone.

Bulldog
I used to be proud of my heritage, proud to be English - but not any more. The country has gone to the dogs and I personally can't see things getting better.I actually feel sorry for tomorrows generation..

Val, Bucks
Yes we should be celebrating St George's Day... but it also means appreciating the little things that are uniquely English and which we should be proud of!

Malclom
It's easier to be Welsh, Scottish or Irish. You can define yourself in opposition to the English. You can happily resign yourself to unfair treatment, and harbour an eternal grudge. It's the easy way out, after all.

Mishca, MK
I'm proud to be British and to have been born in a country that has given the opportunity for those in other less unfortunate areas of the world a chance to live a better and healthier life.

Melanie
Why isn't St Georges Day a Bank Holiday in England? Surely more people would celebrate it then!

JD
I'm 100% English and 0% British.

Mike, Watford
I think it's a real shame that these days we feel unable to shout about being proud to be English.

Moira, MK
I shall be wearing my red rose with pride today.... Happy St Georges Day to all!
