The Â鶹Éç National Orchestra of Wales is one of the UK's leading ensembles. Critically acclaimed for the quality of its performances, they are also renowned for their reach beyond the confines of the concert hall.
Â鶹Éç National Chorus of Wales.
With more than 80 full-time members, the orchestra performs regularly throughout Wales and across the globe.
In addition, the orchestra frequently broadcasts concerts on Â鶹Éç radio and television including Â鶹Éç Radio 3, Â鶹Éç Cymru Wales and Â鶹Éç Four. It has also recorded soundtracks and incidental music for the Â鶹Éç's Doctor Who and Torchwood series.
Education and community work is integral to the orchestra's musical life. Workshops and masterclasses laid on for Welsh schools, groups and musicians of all abilities reach an average of 11,000 participants each year.
Having outgrown its previous home of over 40 years at the Â鶹Éç studios in Llandaff, the orchestra moved to its new purpose-built base - Â鶹Éç Hoddinott Hall at Wales Millennium Centre - in January 2009.
Seating up to 350 people, the concert hall, named after the late composer Alun Hoddinott, enables the orchestra to present more intimate concerts while the state-of the-art Grace Williams studio provides extra rehearsal space and a base for community work.
Large-scale concerts continue to take place in St David's Hall, Cardiff and Swansea's Brangwyn Hall as well as other performances across Wales.
