SCHOOLS' FARMERS' MARKETS

We often hear headlines claiming children have no idea where eggs come from or think milk is something the supermarket has manufactured, making no connection with cows or sheep! But in Montgomeryshire that trend is being reversed through a network of Farmers' Markets being run at schools across mid Wales. The initiative comes from the who are trying to get children out on farms and reconnect them with their food. As part of Country Focus visits Aberhafest Primary School, just outside the town, where the children are now experts in running a farmers' market and the producers, parents and local community are benefiting too.

And don't forget the at Aberhafest is Friday 13th July!
