Back in 2007 when Jane Davidson was a Minister with the Welsh Government she came up with an idea for the Labour party's manifesto for the May elections that year. Five years on the world's first National Coastal Path will officially be opened on May 1st.... a continuous stretch of 870 miles from the outskirts of Chester right round the shores of Wales to Chepstow.

In a special series of a Coastal Country Focus Jane explores different sections of the coastal path and how it's been achieved.

This week the journey begins at the in Llanelli where they're "giving the coast back to the people" and Jane proves the coastal path is not just about walking and gets . She explores one of the hidden gems visitors can discover with the at Laugharne. On to the ranges at where the is celebrating 40 years.
