WHATEVER HAPPENED TO THE SUMMER?
June was officially the wettest since records began causing havoc in our countryside.
The Royal Agricultural show at Stoneleigh had to finish a day early last week and a number of events, shows and festivals around Wales are being cancelled. Potato and vegetable crops are reported to be facing "massive" problems because of the heavy downpours and farmers are reported to be behind.
And the rain is threatening all creatures, great and small because calls to the national Bat helpline have reached record numbers as people are finding baby bats abandoned on the ground or in their homes. The can be contacted on the Helpline on 0845 1300 228.
But on the brighter side we meet a rather well-connected herd of Ayrshire cattle that has arrived at a farm in Ceredigion. And don't forget to enter the first ever which take place in Pembrokeshire next month!
