Celebrations are being held across Wales for St David's Day - and at the heart of many of them are our food and drink. There are so many events and to celebrate Country Focus asks - are we what we eat here in Wales? What's our national dish - or ?

- six of them here in Wales. Named after where they were discovered or the person who found them we now have a Welsh Whitebeam, a Llangollen Whitebeam and a Stirton's Whitebeam. We speak to Dr Tim Rich of the National Museum of Wales who has headed up the research.

"There's no such thing as a typical Welsh garden" - they are as varied and diverse as the people of Wales - so begins a new book published this week which explores teh exciting range of gardens from the historic to the contemporary across the country. The book - - is the result of a collaboration between a couple from Prestiegne - one the author, the other the photographer.

And no daffodils or leeks here, we do stay with a St David's day theme - sorry to keep harping on about it...but the Welsh National Folk Museum in St Fagans has a display of harp making and playing. At the centre of the activities are members of the - set up in 2004 as a community business in Llandysul. Country focus visits this centre of Excellence for the harp.
