Country Focus takes a look at how the number of deer in the wild has soared because of a series of mild winters and an absence of natural predators. It's thought they're at their highest level for almost 1,000 years and with an increase in the deer population come the problems - they over-graze the land and damage trees. With so little known about wild deer in Wales, the was established in 1999 with the aim of ensuring the delivery of a healthy, sustainable wild deer population in Wales.Mel Doel goes on the search for deer in and asks what do we understand about wild deer in Wales?
