Formerly
St Peter's Parish Church, Bradford Cathedral was given cathedral
status early last century and the building extended.
The present church dates largely from the 15th century but
parts of the nave are earlier. Nothing remains of the Norman
church which once stood on the site.
The Cathedral Close is a reminder of medieval days and the
cathedral, itself, offers a peaceful retreat from the city
centre.
