Necktie Youth: a reflection on the new South Africa
The South African film Necktie Youth has picked up plaudits in festivals around the globe.
It tells a powerful story of disaffected middle class youth in Johannesburg.
The film was recently also shown in the UK, at the London Film Festival.
Its director, 24-year-old Sibs Shongwe-La Mer, told 麻豆社 Africa鈥檚 James Copnall that the film grew out of a painful experience in his own life a decade ago.
