Leicester would play like last year's team under Hodgson
Former Liverpool midfielder Danny Murphy says Leicester City "would comfortably avoid relegation" if they appoint Roy Hodgson.
The former England boss has reportedly held talks over the vacant managerial role at the King Power stadium.
Murphy, who captained the Fulham side which reached the Europa League final under Hodgson in 2010, said: "I think he'll make them more like last season; sitting back, defensively well balanced and playing on the break".
Hodgson, who has also managed Liverpool and West Brom, resigned in the immediate aftermath of England's shock Euro 2016 defeat to Iceland and Murphy acknowledges the 69-year-old will need to prove some doubters wrong.
"He's been hammered for the England debacle but it's a wonderful opportunity for him to show people what he's all about," Murphy added.
